An Invitation to Deepen Your Centering Prayer Practice.  Plan to attend this special silent retreat in Spring.  The retreat is designed for those with experience in Centering Prayer and interested in deepening their spiritual practice away from ordinary life in an atmosphere of silence, solitude and community.

Retreats are a way to take one's relationship with God and one's practice deeper.  They offer time and space away from the busy demands of daily life and allow the mind, body and spirit to surrender to God's presence and action within.  Retreats are a common practice in many spiritual traditions and are a valuable tool to aid one's interior transformation.

The chapter's annual Centering Prayer Retreat is held at the Nazareth Retreat Center in Grand Prairie, which is located about 14 miles west of Downtown Dallas. The retreat center is close to two major airports:  DFW airport and Love Field.

The Nazareth Retreat Center is sponsored and operated by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. The retreat center contains over 25 acres of beautiful landscaped ground and includes two large ponds, wooded areas and natural trails.  Some other features include an outdoor patio, Stations of the Cross, a Marian Grotto, a courtyard and the Emmaus Sky Bridge near the courtyard.  All the rooms are double occupancy with private bathroom.

We welcome back Fr Bill Sheehan (see his biography) from Tewksbury, Massachusetts, who will be our retreat director.  He has a long association with Contemplative Outreach and gives many retreats annually throughout the country.

The retreat program will consist of periods of centering prayer, daily Contemplative Eucharist & Lectio Divina, a teaching or reflection on two mornings by the retreat director, private meetings with spiritual directors and ample free time for reflection and walking the contemplative grounds at Nazareth.
