A Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come Holy Spirit and Living Flame, pour into our hearts
from the depths of the Trinity the rays of your light. Help us to
listen more deeply to the words of scripture you have enflamed. May your
holy fire penetrate our hearts and minds so that we in turn may penetrate
your words at ever deepening levels of understanding, insight and
response. AMEN

Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, it is not pompous,
it is not inflated,
it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered,
it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices
with the truth.
It bears all thing, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.1 Cor 13:4-8 |
